The Affordable ARRIRAW Solution

TAKE THE ARRI ALEXA FROM AMAZING TO INCREDIBLE.
The ARRIRAW recording option will deBayer the RAW data and convert it to a 1920x1080 video signal for viewing on the Odyssey7Q’s OLED panel as well as output over the Odyssey7Q’s SDI and HDMI ports. The Odyssey7Q will also playback recorded ARRIRAW files. The Odyssey7Q LUT control allows switching between an ARRI LOG-C and REC709 image.

Record ARRIRAW from the following ARRI ALEXA camera models:

  • Alexa (original model, aka Alexa Classic)
  • Alexa Plus
  • Alexa 4:3
  • Alexa Plus 4:3
  • Alexa M
  • Alexa Studio


Please note, ALEXA XT models or older Alexas converted to XR recording do not output ARRIRAW and will not work with the Odyssey7Q ARRIRAW option. Additionally, the ARRI D-21 camera is not supported at this time.

ALEXA cameras can output ARRIRAW in 2880x2160 (4:3 mode) or 2880x1620 (16:9 mode). In 4:3 they can output up to 48p and in 16:9 they can output up to 60p. ARRIRAW is recorded by the Odyssey7Q in the native 12-bit .ARI files and are readable in any post program capable of reading ARRIRAW.

At this time, Odyssey7Q is not supporting 4:3.

The ARRIRAW record option is available for Odyssey7Q, and is sold only via this website.
 
 
Future updates will enable recording in compressed 4:4:4 HD video, compressed 4K video. amd enable recording in a similar compressed 2K video format at some frame rates.

NOTE: ARRIRAW above 30fps requires two SSDs to simultaneously record. In a future firmware update only one SSD will be required for all frame rates.
